MittMedia has signed up for the Cargo system from Laidback Solutions. After the purchase of the media group Promedia, Mittmedia is now the largest media group for newspapers with 43 circulation newspaper titles. This installation will include the new web based modules Saleswatch and Cargo Numbers. The installation will begin in March.

We are really happy to announce that Stampen Local Media now has placed an order for the Cargo system. The project with implementation will start as soon as possible with the goal to have the existing solution changed to Cargo before Christmas. There will be more features added later on to make sure Stampen will be as effective as possible handling their advertising files. At Stampen, Cargo will be integrated with AdBase from Newscycle Solutions.

The Economist, a world known trademark for business press, have chosen Feedback as their new system for image reporting. Feedback will be integrated with an editorial solution from CCI as well as a DAM-system from Fotoware. Feedback will also be integrated with a Drupal web publishing solution to be able to create reports also on the images used online. Installation is planned to start before mid-September.

Laidback is growing and the demand for our products and services increases. To meet this increase and be able to keep the quality, Laidback has employed Marcus Lönngren as a consultant and project manager.

Marcus is a very experienced consultant / project manager with deep technical knowledge who really likes to work with people. The ability to lead and manage projects comes from more then ten years of experience doing this in the Scandinavian market. The big variety of the projects done has given Marcus an unusual wide range of know how of the publishing business challenges.

At Laidback, Marcus will of course manage projects and be active in installation projects with our products. But Marcus will also make it possible for us to offer a wider range of services as he is one of the leading consultants in editorial workflows. That means he will continue to work with editorial, images, efficiency projects, integrations and analyzing. Among projects where Marcus has been the responsible project manager (and technician) is for the installations of the editorial system Newspilot at all newspapers for Schibstedt Norway. Marcus also did Aftonbladet (largest daily in Sweden) and Svenska Dagbladet. Later he has lead project for analyzing image workflows (pictures and movies), buying editorial solutions, contact person for partners and suppliers and much more.

After quite some time of evaluating different systems, Bonnier News has decided to go for Cargo to handle all their advertising materials. Bonnier News is the leading business group in newspapers in Sweden with titles such as Expressen, Dagens Industri, Dagens Nyheter and HD/Sydsvenska Dagbladet. We are starting the project directly, integrating Cargo with the Adbase system from Newscycle Solutions. There will also be a integration to AdPoint from Lineup systems, meaning there will be two different booking systems seamlessly integrated with the same Cargo system.
