6 June is Sweden´s National day which means it´s a public holiday. We are back in the office on Friday 7th.

On Thursday 28th March, office closes at 13.00 Swedish time.
We are back Tuesday 2nd April on normal office hours.

We would like to say a big thank you for a great year! It has been full speed from January to December and we would really like to thank all customers, new and old ones, for all inspiration during this year. Merry Christmas to you all and we hope you will be able to have a few days off during the holidays. We will have the office open as usual 27, 28 and 29th of December. 

We are proud to announce some new customers on Corbit. Some of them have used FileTrain in the past, some are new customers. Among these customers we can mention Albinsson & Sjöberg Förlags AB, Kier Group Ltd, Blomqvist Nettauksjon AS, Centro Stampa Ticino S.A. They use Corbit to lots of different things, e.g. automated workflows handling advertising files, sending payment files to banks, integrating DAM-system and more. Thank you! 

From 1 June, Laidback Solutions was aquired by Aquila Software who also own Atex. This means that Laidback and Atex can work together, making the most of what we can offer to the media business in terms of tech solutions and services. More on this here:

Update for the MySQL connector and some fixes for SFTP and the REST calls

We are now integrating with Cross-advertising version 8. This means we can deliver an integrated solution with all the latest versions of Cross-advertising.

FileTrain 6.9 is released and can be downloaded. The major feature added is the option to set transfer type when using FTP-transfers. 

There is a version of Cargo Production plug-in for Adobe InDesign CC 2019 available. Please contact us if you would like to upgrade.

A brand new product is introduced - Deadline.

Deadline is a server solution to act as a Master for all the different timings that is part of any production workflow. When do you need to deliver your advert in order to make the next publishing, when is the last time to send a proof, when do we need to send to the printer in order to give them a chance to print on time for publishing. That's just an example, timing issues are everywhere, in all production environments regardless of which kind of business. Deadline is setup per product which means all products in Deadline can have their own settings if needed. Thanks to the built-in REST API, any other system can be integrated to get their workflow timing from Deadline.

10-12 October is the dates for the IFRA-expo in Berlin. There will be both seminars and an exhibition. We will be there and hope to meet with you. Please contact us and let´s meet in Berlin. 

This year, World Publishing Expo will be in Vienna. Laidback exhibits as ususal and we are showing the latest versions of our products. This years main focus will be Cargo version 3 including the brand new modules Saleswatch and Numbers.
