Due to the inflation in Europe we need to adjust our pricing starting from the beginning of 2023. We use the KPI (consumer price index) in order to calculate new pricing level.

Laidback is proud to announce that Mediekompaniet has chosen Cargo to handle their workflow of national advertising files. All Swedish local newspapers will now get their national ads via Cargo (approx 80 titles). When transferring the adverts, Corbit will act as an integrated part with full automation. The installation will take place during the autumn of 2022.  

In order to be able to create export, Laidback has been granted support by ALMI/Tillväxtverket. This support is an EU-project where the regional development fond acts as a co-financing part.

We have been given the trust and the honor of having all the Swedish newspapers, 109 different titles, as customers on Cargo Self Service. The advertisers, private customers, churches an companies, will have the option to create their own adverts. Cargo Self Service is of course integrated with both the ad booking systems and Cargo itself, which makes a lot of automation included in the solution. There is also an integrated module for customer service where the staff at the newspapers will be able to help creating adverts for the customer if the for some reason can't do this themselves. Everything is planned to be up and running this autumn.

HSS-Media is a Cargo customer since 2019. Now they are expanding their use with the module Numbers which they will use to get analyzes and statistics. The installation was done late October.

Update for the MySQL connector and some fixes for SFTP and the REST calls

We are now integrating with Cross-advertising version 8. This means we can deliver an integrated solution with all the latest versions of Cross-advertising.

FileTrain 6.9 is released and can be downloaded. The major feature added is the option to set transfer type when using FTP-transfers. 

There is a version of Cargo Production plug-in for Adobe InDesign CC 2019 available. Please contact us if you would like to upgrade.

A brand new product is introduced - Deadline.

Deadline is a server solution to act as a Master for all the different timings that is part of any production workflow. When do you need to deliver your advert in order to make the next publishing, when is the last time to send a proof, when do we need to send to the printer in order to give them a chance to print on time for publishing. That's just an example, timing issues are everywhere, in all production environments regardless of which kind of business. Deadline is setup per product which means all products in Deadline can have their own settings if needed. Thanks to the built-in REST API, any other system can be integrated to get their workflow timing from Deadline.
