Workflow examples

There are hundreds (if not thousands) different ways of using FileTrain to fit your needs. Here are some simple examples of how it can be used.

Publisher often gets images via email. To always have a link to the sender of the file, they embed the senders name, email address and the email body into the image metadata (XMP or IPTC).

Ad files are often located on FTP Servers, uploaded by clients. FileTrain can be used to download these ads from your own or external FTP servers and then sort them into an easily understood structure. At the same time it can notify someone internally via an email that new files have been downloaded.
