Feedback 3.0 is released!

In version 3 of Feedback, PDF´s can be used for all reporting!

This feature makes even greater automation possible and you will also get an even better workflow. If you are one of those that still manually creates your reports for the picture agencies, Feedback may be the best investment you make with a ROI of a few months.

New features in version 3:

  • The workflow can now be fully automated, from a PDF-file to a report delivered by e-mail to a picture agency
  • The brand new Feedback Client handles PDF-files and adds automation to the workflow
  • Autorouting makes it possible to sort any PDF-file on part of the filename or embedded metadata for both title and issue
  • New highly improved interface
  • Much improved features for filtering files on name, IPTC and XMP.
  • Handling of doublettes in several different ways

Create your reports automatically

Feedback analyzes the images in a layout and creates reports based on the copyright holders (or other metadata). If you are buying images from a picture agency today, you probably know the amount of time you need to spend creating reports on which images you have used. You can also add some administration for this matters.

Feedback gives you the possibility to automate the whole process which will free lots of working hours or even days, better used on creative matters.

Feedback has several alternative workflows for creating reports

Alternative 1.
Get a copy of your printing files, PDF-files, in a folder available for Feedback. The files are uploaded, handled and the reports are automatically created according to your settings. The reports are e-mailed to the addresses you have configured, e.g. a copy to you and a copy to the picture agency.

Alternative 2.
Feedback watches a folder where you put your PDF´s (the pages) and uploads them automatically. You log in to Feedback and find your images sorted. Now you can manually create any kind of reports you want to. When you are done you can send these reports by e-mail or download them for your personal use.

Alternative 3.
E.g. Feedback runs once a night using a copy of your print PDF´s. Files are created by Feedback and sent to your image archive where the metadata in the images can be updated to give the users of the archive information about when the images was last used. This can be a good way to avoid using the same image over and over again.

Using Feedback, it is a matter of minutes to analyze a complete magazine and it is done automatically.
Doing the same task manually may well take up to 16 hours to complete.

Overview

There are different views to fit different needs. Above you see the view when Feedback sorts the images based on the copyrights in the images and shows all images as a thumbnail.

Below you have the List view where you can sort the images as you wish, e.g from the first page to the last or by copyright holder. If there are images that shouldn´t be reported (e.g. bylines, adverts etc.) you can manually remove them. Some images may be very small and hard to see correctly, for those images you have the Details where you can get a larger preview and all the metadata from the image. You may also get a PDF of the page where the image was published.
