FileTrain version 6.2 released

Version 6.2 of FileTrain is now released. Even though version 6.1 was recently released, we choosed to make an upgrade due to demands for new features from resellers and end customers.

Talentum buys Cargo

The publishing house Talentum, with titles like Ny Teknik, Affärsvärlden and Dagens Media, buys Cargo. The installation will be split in two parts where step one is to set up a fully working Cargo system integrated with Atex Enterprise including Cargo Online Preflight.
Later, the system will be upgraded with the Cargo Connect modules which will give a tight integration with Atex Enterprise aswell as both a production and a proofing system.
Talentum Finland is the head company in this business group . |

Aller Denmark buys the Feedback system

Since about a year, Aller in Sweden runs Feedback. Now the Danish Aller buys a Feedback license to have the same automatic workflow where Feedback gets all the information from the PDF´s sent to print. Feedback is fed automatically and any kind of report can be produced to handle the copyrights. Installation in January 2012. |
Metro France buys Cargo

Metro France has choosen to buy a license of Cargo XL incl. Cargo Online Preflight. At Metro France, Asura from OneVision is used for preflighting, and a integration here will be developed before installation. The Cargo system will also be integrated with the ad booking system AdPoint from Lineup. This integration gives the users of Cargo the possibility to search and match both advertising files and advertising bookings. Even the sales personell will benefit since Adpoint can show the sales person where in the Cargo workflow the advertising file is at the moment. |
Västerbottens-Kuriren buys Cargo

We are happy to announce that Västerbottens-Kuriren has made a decision to go for Cargo. Västerbottens-Kuriren is one of the larger daily newspapers in northern Sweden. A Cargo XL with the module Cargo Online Preflight will be installed and integrated with Tieto CrossAdvertising. This integration makes it possible to match the advertising files entering with the orders in the booking system. The installation will take place in the befinning of 2012. |
Egmont buys Cargo

Egmont Magasiner buys Cargo XL with the Cargo Online Preflight module. The system is integrated with a Navision ad booking system. A testsystem has been installed for a a period of time and can now immediatelly be set into production. At the same time, Egmont Tidskrifter in Sweden buys the same Cargo solution. In Sweden it will be integrated with the ad booking system P1 from PositionEtt.
The deal is done in cooperation with our Danish reseller Infomax. |

The most profitable newspapers- and free newspapers in Sweden are Metro, Lokaltidningen Mitt i Stockholm, Dagens Industri and Nya Wermlands-Tidningen. All of these newspapers have something in common, they all use the Cargo system from Laidback Solutions to handle their advertising workflow.
Using the Cargo system they have an effective way to handle ads from their customers, spending a minimum of time internally per file.

Skånska Dagbladet creates a version of their newspapers as an e-paper. There are several editions handled with pages extracted and inserted in the editions depending on a number of variables. FileTrain has now been configurated to handle this instead of the old system and the time spent on putting the files together for the e-paper has been reduced with several hours per day. |

ColorMan for InDesign CS5 does not work in CS 5.5. We have made a new version for InDesign CS 5.5 which is now available for download in the product page for ColorMan.
ColorMan for CS 5.5 does not work on the same license number as CS5, you need to upgrade with a new license number. This upgrade is free for all customers with a valid SUP-agreement. |

Aller Media buys Feedback

Aller förlag, one of Swedens larger publishing houses with about 30 titles, buys Feedback. Using Feedback, Aller will now be able to create reports automatically telling which images they have used in the different publications and send these reports in a number of different formats (e.g. pdf, html, excel) to the picture agencies. All the reports are created from the PDF-files generated for print. |
PPT starts using FileTrain

The oil- and gas company PPT Public Company Limited, buys FileTrain. FileTrain will be used in the business group to automate some workflows, especially workflows concerning images. PPT is a public company listed on the stock exhange in Thailand, delivering gas, oil, petrol and other petrochemical products in Thailand and internationally. The deal with PTT is done by our Thai reseller Eviotech who also creates the workflow. |

Forma Publishing Group is one of the major publishers in Sweden with more than 400 employees in 3 different countries. There are 3 different business areas within Forma, Forma Magazines, Forma Books and Forma Contracts (customer unique magazines).

Svenska Dagbladet, one of the leading daily newspapers in Sweden, upgrades their Feedback installation to version 3. At Svenska Dagbladet, Feedback is used to create reports of the copyrighted images they are using aswell as keeping updated that they only buy relevant images. This deal is taken care of by our reseller Buildpix. |
Feedback version 3 released

Version 3 of Feedback is a major upgrade. Using this version the whole process be done fully automatic. Previous versions of Feedback did only use documents from InDesign and QuarkXPress, in version 3 you can use PDF-files aswell. This option makes it possible to make the complete workflow fully automatic starting with just a copy of the PDF made for printing. More information on Feedback here.
